Bayport-Blue Point District Issues Student Safety Alert
Male driver asked female high school student if she needed a ride home.
The Bayport-Blue Point School district has posted a safety alert notice to parents regarding an incident in which a student was approached by a man while heading home from school last week.
According to the letter, posted on the district's website, a older white male approached a female high school student on Wednesday, Sept. 25 and asked if she needed a ride home.
The district said the incident to has been reported to the police
The man was driving a brown-rust colored older model station wagon with wood side panels.
