A Dedicated Football Player, Now A Champion
While not technically posted in November (Oct. 30) in light of this weekend’s historic Long Island Championship victory for Sachem North Varsity Football, we call out Laura Slattery’s blog post about her son, Michael, a special needs student who has both embraced and been embraced by the Sachem football program. In a blowout game earlier this magical season, Slattery recorded a reception and recovered a fumble, solidifying his place on the 2013 roster, a team that will now go down in Sachem history as the first team to win the LIC.
