Chat & Shop with Save the Great South Bay
Meet us at Cornucopia Natural Foods on Sunday, January 12 from 11 AM - 2 PM

A cornucopia is a symbol of abundance. Sayville’s down-home health food shore, Cornucopia, is sharing its abundance with our beloved Bay. They’re donating to Save the Great South Bay (SGSB) with proceeds from your purchase of their healthy goods. They’ll also have someone from SGSB on hand on Sunday, January 12th, 11am – 2pm for a CHAT AND SHOP. We’ll talk about how you can save the Great South Bay. 1976 marks a special year. That’s when Cornucopia was founded. It also represents the peak harvest—700,0000 bushels—of clams from the Great South Bay. That’s $245,000,000.00 in today’s dollars. Clamming is how we fed our families and put clothing on kids’ backs. Clamming is down 99% since then. Why? Water pollution. Good food feeds your body. Clean water feeds your soul. Let’s talk about our plans to save the Great South Bay!
