Hit-And-Run Crash Kills Woman In Bohemia: Police

BOHEMIA, NY — A woman was hit and killed by a car while she was crossing the street in Bohemia early Wednesday morning, Suffolk County police said.

According to police, the woman was crossing Veterans Memorial Highway at 5th Avenue when she was struck by a westbound vehicle that fled the scene around 5:15 a.m.

She was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
