At Least 1 Injured In Overturned Crash In West Sayville: Police

A person was taken to a hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries after a crash late Saturday, according to authorities.

WEST SAYVILLE, NY — At least one person was hospitalized after an SUV overturned in a crash in West Sayville on Saturday night, a Suffolk County Police Department spokesperson confirmed to Patch.

The crash occurred around 11 p.m. near the corner of Brook Street and Colony Drive. West Sayville firefighters extricated a person trapped in the overturned car, and the victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition, authorities said.

The victim's injuries were non-life-threatening, the Suffolk County police spokesperson told Patch.

At least two cars were involved in the crash, photos taken by the West Sayville Fire Department show. A white SUV is shown overturned, and a black sedan has significant damage to its rear.

Suffolk County police are investigating the crash, authorities said.
