Lifestyle Brand Closes LI Shop, Says It's Not Good-Bye

SAYVILLE, NY — A Long Island brick-and-mortar shop is closing at the end of April, but owners say it's not the end for the lifestyle brand.

Eastbound Trading Company, a West Sayville boutique that draws inspiration from "all that Long Island has to offer," announced its closure earlier this month.

According to owner Max Procopio, it will close on April 30 and until then, it is offering sales of 25 to 60 percent off on "everything," including clothing, hats, totes and accessories.

"I am so appreciative of everyone who has shopped with me over the years and grateful to have gotten to know so many new people, many of whom have become friends," Procopio told Patch. "This is not a goodbye, but a see you soon. There are a couple of avenues we’re exploring and can’t wait to share with everyone once we figure everything out."

A social media post announcing the closure reads: "Big news! We are excited to share that we will be giving Eastbound a fresh look and direction! As part of this transformation, the store in West Sayville will be closing its doors on April 30th.

"It has been an awesome ride here in West Sayville, and as one door closes, another one opens. We will be back again soon in a new and exciting way!

"In the meantime, we are going to need some help cleaning out the shop… so from now until April 30th we will be doing a sale of 25% off all Eastbound items, 60% off Wolverine and 40% off all Tommy Bahama, Fair Harbor, sunglasses and everything else in the shop. See you soon!"

According to Eastbound's website, it was created in 2021 as a lifestyle brand that "embodies all the amazing aspects" of Long Island's South Shore, including "boating, fishing, good vibes and hard work."

Eastbound Trading Co. is located at 102 Main St. in West Sayville.
