Bayport's Loren Generi, Sayville's Jasmine DePompeo light up scoreboard in 19-9 victory over Longwood.

Two local women had a big day for Navy’s women’s lacrosse team on Tuesday.

Bayport native Loren Generi had 8 goals and Sayville’s Jasmine DePompeo had 13 points in Navy’s 19-9 win over Longwood.

DePompeo’s 13 points (3G, 10A) tied a school record while also becoming Navy's career scoring leader with 300 points. Her 10 assists are tied for the second-best single-game performance in NCAA history and the 13 points rank 10th.

For the second straight game Generi tied Navy’s single-game record of eight goals and also tallied 10 draw controls. She took a career-high 15 shots and 14 were on goal.

Generi had eight goals and school record tying 11 draw controls against UC Davis on Wednesday, March 27, and DePompeo – the nation's leading scorer — had a then-career high 10 points (3 goals, 7 assists) in the 19-11 victory.

On the season, DePompeo has 41 goals and 50 assists and Generi has 42 goals and 8 assists.
