PRESS RELEASE - A Long Island Pastor Engages Middle East Peace

RE: A Long Island Pastor Engages Middle East Peace

A Long Island Christian pastor who served as a short-term delegate for the Christian Peacemaker Teams to Palestine (West Bank region) is engaging the local community and government officials with a prayer initiative to call for the release of all hostages (both Israelis & Palestinians), a ceasefire in the Gaza region, and an end of violence and war in general. Michael Miano, who serves as pastor of The Blue Point Bible Church, joined with a host of others at a Prayer Vigil on Monday, November 21, 2023 in Washington D.C. The vigil was hosted by the Churches For Middle East Peace and over a dozen other Christian organizations and denominations joined in speaking out for the release of the hostages, namely those taken on October 7th by Hamas, and the injustices being done to the Palestinian populace, especially in Gaza, and therefore a call for “Ceasefire Now”.

Pastor Miano recently hosted a presentation called “Coffee, Tea, & Peacemaking in Israel & Palestine”. In that presentation, Pastor Miano shared about meeting with various Palestinian and Israeli citizens and organisations that work against the illegal house demolitions, against oppressive military occupation, and those whom seek to foster efforts of unity. Also, in partnership with Churches For Middle East Peace (www.cmep.org), Pastor Miano encouraged an Advent Ceasefire Prayer Chain, which includes daily prayers and actively engaging calls to Congress and other elected officials. Pastor Michael Miano can be contact at 631-363-6111 and/or through email (PastorMikeMiano@yahoo.com) for speaking engagements, further inquiries, questions, or sharing of encouraging comments.
