Rollover Crash Knocks Down Utility Pole On Long Island: FD
Long Island firefighters responded to the scene rollover crash that knocked down a utility pole over the weekend, firefighters say.
WEST SAYVILLE, NY — Firefighters responded to a rollover crash that knocked down a utility pole on Long Island early Saturday morning, officials told Patch.
According to police, a 20-year-old man was driving a 2016 Kia eastbound on Montauk Highway in Oakdale around 5:36 a.m. when he lost control of the vehicle and left the roadway.
The vehicle struck a utility pole and overturned, and also hit a fence and a parked vehicle, police said.

West Sayville firefighters responded to the scene after Chief of Department D’Onofrio "confirmed an overturned vehicle with a pole and wires down," officials said.
According to the fire department, assistant chiefs Chiesa, Huguenin and Leimbach "examined the driver for injuries while crews from Engine 2 and Rescue 3 secured the vehicle."

Community Ambulance Company then took over patient care and confirmed the driver was not injured.
