Sayville Man Charged With Possession of Child Pornography: Police

Detectives found more than 100 images of child pornography on his electronic devices, police say.

SAYVILLE, NY — A Sayville man was arrested and charged on Wednesday, after officers found him in possession of more than 100 images of child pornography, Suffolk County Police said.

Daniel Forsberg, 23, was charged with promoting a sexual performance by a child and possessing a sexual performance by a child, both felonies, police said.

Following a tip from the New York State Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, detectives conducted an investigation into Forsberg.

With the help of Fifth Precinct officers, a search warrant was executed at Forsberg’s North Cliff Avenue home, where more than 100 images of child pornography were found on his electronic devices, police said.

He was held overnight at the Third Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Thursday.
