SAYVILLE, NY — Sayville School District has announced that district schools will close Monday, March 16 as a preventative measure during the coronavirus scare. No COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in the community. Staff should still report to work, according to Superintendent John Stimmel, who said that further details will be available later Friday.

In addition, this Saturday's SAT exam has been rescheduled. The test, originally planned for March 14, will be postponed until Saturday, March 28. The postponement comes as extracurricular events across Long Island schools are canceled or rescheduled due to the spread of the new coronavirus.

The school website posted an announcement directing those with additional questions to contact The College Board at 866-756-7346.
