Target Walls Rise Yet Retailer's Mum on Sayville Store

Construction progress at the new Target store, at the corner of Sunrise Highway and Broadway Avenue in Sayville, is moving fast.
Within the last week several tremendous walls have been erected on the site.

Yet Target Corp. still won't acknowledge it's building the store.

"Long Island is a great market for Target; however I currently do not have any information to share regarding a potential new store in Sayville," wrote spokesperson Anne Christensen in an email to Patch Monday.

In prior emails Target spokespeople have told Patch that the retailer's policy is to announce a new location when a store is about one year from completion.
