'They Play With Heart': Sayville Girls Take LI Volleyball Championship
The Sayville Girls Varsity Volleyball Team won the Class A Long Island Championship in November.
SAYVILLE, NY —The Sayville Girls Varsity Volleyball Team won the Class A Long Island Championship after defeating South Side 3-1 on Nov. 13.
Two days later, the team defeated Cornwall Central in the Class A Southeast Regional Final at Mount St. Mary’s College.
According to the district, Sayville now advances to the pool play semifinal round, which begins on Saturday, Nov. 23 at Cool Insuring Arena in Glens Falls.

"I am extremely proud of these girls," said head coach Debra Urso. "They approached this season 'all in' and it shows. They play with heart."
