Scarecrows Wanted For Oakdale's 'March Of The Scarecrows'

The Oakdale Historical Society is seeking last-minute competitors for this year's March of the Scarecrows.

OAKDALE, NY — The Oakdale Historical Society is looking for competitors for its annual March of the Scarecrows community contest at St. John's Historical Church.

In a Facebook post, the society announced that although registration officially closed Sunday, they are still looking for contestants and are willing "to squeeze you in."

According to the post, competitors will set up their scarecrows on Saturday, Oct. 26, and voting will take place on Sunday, Oct. 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Community members are welcome to drop by and cast a vote.

Cash prizes go to the scarecrows with the most votes for first, second, and third place.
