West Sayville Jr. Fire Department Hosts Holiday Food Drive

SAYVILLE, NY — As Thanksgiving approaches, the West Sayville Junior Fire Department is asking the public's help in addressing a critical need for food donations to feed countless Long Island families in need.

The fire department is hosting a holiday food drive on Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Non-perishable food items may be dropped off at the fire department, located at 80 Main St. in West Sayville.

Firefighters announced the food drive in a social media post, writing: "Our Juniors will be hosting a food drive this weekend. Everything they collect this year will go to the Sayville Food Pantry, as they are desperately low on supplies. Every item donated gets the donor a raffle ticket for a $100 Amazon gift card. Winner will be drawn at the end of the 2 day event."
