$1,200 Flute Was Swiped, Scarsdale Police Say

Instrument went missing inside the Heathecote School.

A pricey woodwind instrument was pilfered from Scarsdale's Heathecote School, local police said.

A student's flute worth over $1,000 went missing last month from the Palmer Avenue School, cops said, and the alleged theft was reported earlier this week.

Police said the student, teachers and custodians scoured the school but could not find the instrument, which was a rental from Ardsley Musical.
