Ardsley Road bridge to open on Friday after 4+ years of construction

traffic light will be removed- making commute faster!

Some great news! The Ardsley Road bridge, which connects the River Villages of Greenburgh to Central Ave and Scarsdale, will finally be open on Friday after more than four years of construction activity. The temporary light that helped motorists cross the one lane bridge while construction was taking place will be removed -good news for motorists since the drive to motorists’ destinations on either side of the bridge will be shortened.

I am thrilled with this news. This is the longest small bridge repair job I have ever seen. Many motorists were frustrated for years because there were many weeks when no construction activity had taken place.

I wanted to provide an update on the subject bridge project:

• Concrete placement for the structural deck (Roadway) is now complete.

• Construction of the southside concrete barrier is complete.

• A protective sealer will be applied to the newly placed concrete, this is anticipated to be done on 11/20/25

• Restriping of the roadway to its final configuration, removal of the temporary traffic signal and full reopening of the roadway is anticipated to be done on Friday 11/21/25

After the opening, the contractor will continue to perform cleanup and other incidental work at the site.”
