Greenburgh Town Councilor Loses 2 Family Members In Tragic Tesla Crash

GREENBURGH, NY — Town leaders are sharing in the grief of a colleague who lost two loved ones in a tragic crash in White Plains.

Greenburgh lawmakers expressed their condolences as a fellow council member faces a heartbreaking misfortune.

"The Greenburgh Town Board members and the entire Town of Greenburgh staff, mourn the loss that has befallen our dear friend and colleague, Councilman Francis Sheehan," the Town of Greenburgh Council said in a joint statement. "Early yesterday his wife, Millie Ortiz Sheehan and daughter-in-law, Diana Trochez Sheehan tragically lost their lives in a fatal car accident in White Plains. We ask that you join us in expressing deepest condolences to Francis, his son and their entire family for this terrible loss."

The elected officials asked that well-wishers honor the family’s privacy and allow them time to grieve. Those who wish to send expressions of condolence, are asked to send them care of Greenburgh Town Hall, to the attention of Joan Dudek.
