Hutch Rollover Crash Leaves Pickup Driver Seriously Injured

The pickup truck left the parkway and crashed into a tree in a nearby wooded area, according to the Westchester County Police Department.

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY — A driver was seriously injured on the southbound Hutchinson River Parkway on Wednesday when his vehicle left the roadway, struck a tree, and rolled over south of Mamaroneck Road, according to police.

Westchester County police received a 911 call shortly after 7 a.m. from motorists who reported seeing a heavily damaged pickup in a wooded area near the parkway.

The driver, a man in his twenties, was the only person in the pickup truck.

He was extricated from the vehicle by the Scarsdale Fire Department, assisted by the County Police Emergency Services Unit. The driver was then rushed to Westchester Medical Center by the Scarsdale Volunteer Ambulance Corps.
