Playland Day Today Welcomes Residents With Disabilities

The special day is open to all Westchester residents from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

The 37th annual Playland with Disabilities Day will take place at Playland today, August 3, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  

Close to 5,000 people have been invited to the event, which is sponsored by Westchester County’s Office for the Disabled and the Department of Parks, Recreation and Conservation. Playland Day is open to all Westchester County residents with a disability, along with members of their immediate family. Parents, friends, staff and volunteers are all expected to join in the day of free rides, entertainment and activities.

There is no rain date scheduled.

As a co-sponsor of the event, Verizon will provide volunteers to help with traffic control, ride assistance, registration and entertainment.
