Save October 1st: 4th Annual Smart Walk for Smart Kids with LD
Bringing together families, friends & professionals to celebrate the strengths of children with learning and attention differences.
Smart Kids with Learning Disabilities invites you to save Sunday, October 1st to participate in the 4th Annual Smart Walk for Smart Kids with Learning Disabilities. This fun, community event brings together families, friends and professionals to celebrate the strengths of children with learning and attention differences.
Taking place at Sherwood Island State Park in Westport, CT, the event provides everyone touched by LD or ADHD a sense of home and community. Kids will enjoy games, crafts, a photo booth, snacks, an ice cream truck and much more. Parents and caregivers will leave feeling empowered.
Renowned school psychologist David Sylvestro will emcee the program, and best-selling, Westport-based children’s author Sivan Hong will read from her Super Fun Day books in the Countdown to Kindergarten area featuring activities for young children.

“This is a heartwarming event that people look forward to attending, year after year,” said Jane Ross, Executive Director of Smart Kids with Learning Disabilities.
Participants may walk the two-mile route at their own pace. Exhibitors and sponsors will showcase valuable resources. Registration fees are $15, $10 for children ages 6 through 12 and free for children 5 and under. For information and registration, visit https://runsignup.com/smartwalkforsmartkids

The Norwalk-based Smart Kids with Learning Disabilities organization has a mission to help children with learning and attention differences reach their full potential by inspiring, educating and empowering parents to help their children succeed. This event will raise funds for critical educational programs, youth mentoring, the Countdown to Kindergarten research-based school readiness program, and much more.
