SCARSDALE, NY — If you're struggling to decide between a peaceful Sunday bike ride or a relaxing day browsing the farmers market stalls, there might just be a convenient way to do both.

The Scarsdale Famers Market will have its Grand Opening on Sunday, at 9 a.m. There will be vendors selling locally made goods, live music, and a kickoff with elected officials. The market will run every Sunday, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., on Spencer Place and Chase Road, through November 24.

The Scarsdale Business Alliance will also be hosting a community table program for local nonprofits and SBA service-related businesses, along with family activities.

Organizers say that the farmers market is part of a greater initiative the village is launching in collaboration with the Scarsdale Business Alliance: Destination Scarsdale. Endorsed
by Westchester County, the partnership will celebrate the 50th anniversary of Bicycle Sundays by highlighting Scarsdale as a premier stopping point, aiming to increase foot traffic in the village center, drive economic activity, and promote community engagement.

On Sundays, parking is free in the Christie Place Garage at 64 East Parkway, and the Freightway Garage, which can be accessed off of Garth Road. On-street parking is also free on Sundays. Public parking will not be allowed in the market area on Sundays, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., to allow for vendor set-up/breakdown.
