From the SPCA Westchester:

Our sweet, shy, itty bitty girl Micah is ready to find a home that she can call her very own. This adorable mini Australian shepherd has lived a very sheltered life — her first few years were spent with a backyard breeder who then dumped her at their local animal care and control. However, she’s been living in a foster home with us these past two weeks and every day gains more courage and trust.

Here’s what her foster mom had to say:

“Micah is doing much better. She’s not shaking like when I got her, but is still very skittish. Her favorite thing to do is go for walks. When she’s out she has her mouth open like she’s smiling the whole time! She also seems to love other dogs, with the limited interactions we’ve had on walks gone wonderfully.”
