Scarsdale Police Log: Bike Thefts, Car Break-In

Excerpts from the Scarsdale Police Log. The following information was supplied by the Scarsdale Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A Whig Road resident reported to that her bicycle was stolen from Depot Place. On June 14, she told police her $400, black, specialized model bike was locked up at the bike rack when she left in the morning, according to the SPD report. When she returned, she found the cable lock had been cut and the bike was missing. Police are investigating.

A Tuckahoe resident reported to police that her son's mountain bike had been stolen on June 11. The $250 bike was swiped from the rack at the Scarsdale train station, according to the SPD report. The alleged thief made off with the bicycle and the chain lock. Police are investigating.

A Brewster Road resident reported to SPD that her car had been broken into during the overnight hours on June 11/12. The car was parked in her driveway and was unlocked, according to SPD. The alleged thief stole $20 in change. Nothing else was missing from the car, according to the police report.
