Scarsdale Police Log: Dog Bite No Treat For Hartsdale Woman

A stroll down Huntington Avenue left a Hartsdale grandmother with minor injuries from a dog bite.
According to a Scarsdale Police report, the 58-year-old Hartsdale woman was walking with her grandchild on August 3, when they spotted a leashed dog. The woman asked the person with the dog if the dog was friendly and if she could give the dog a treat, according to the report.
The woman, the dog owner's housekeeper, said yes, according to the report.

Once feeding the dog the treat, the dog dropped it, and as the grandmother was walking away, the dog bit the woman's "left inner thigh area, breaking the skin," the report states.
The victim was transported to White Plains Hospital for treatment.

Police investigated the incident and the dog will be quarantined for 10 days, according to the SPD report.
