Lost And Driving While Intoxicated

A Dobbs Ferry man was arrested on June 30 on Fountain Terrace. Police found the driver on the dead end street after he struck a street sign while attempting to find his way home to Dobbs Ferry. His car had become stuck on the edge of the road, damaging his front tire and bumper, according to SPD. The driver had trouble keeping his balance and SPD questioned him.

The driver told SPD that he "consumed two vodka and cranberry juice (drinks) while at Hudson Grille in White Plains," according to the police report. He then told police he got a flat tire, pulled over and that he lived in "Dobbs Ferry, right down the street." SPD conducted a field sobriety test and the driver was arrested. He was charged with a DWI and aggravated DWI of .18 grams or more of alcohol in the blood. He is scheduled to appear in court on July 11.
