Scarsdale Police Arrest Pheasant Run Resident After Early Morning Crash

Scarsdale Police took another allegedly drunken driver off the road over the weekend. On Saturday, police arrested a 24-year-old Scarsdale woman after she drove her black, Ford Expedition into a utility pole on Woodland Place at 3:21 a.m., causing it to break in half.
Police arrested the driver on two misdemeanor charges: driving while intoxicated, a first offense; and operating a motor vehicle with .08 alcohol, a first offense, according to the police report.
Upon arrival, police found the car unoccupied with the engine off.

"The force of the collision caused the utility pole to break into two pieces approximately 10 feet up from the ground, destroying the light fixture and severing the power lines connected to it," according to the SPD report.
The driver returned to the vehicle, after "having sought out assistance and contacting her employer," the report stated.

She told police she had "consumed two vodka and cranberry beverages and one shot of vodka while at the Hudson Terrace Club" in NYC, the report stated.
Police administered an alco-sensor test and confirmed the presence of alcohol, police stated.
After being arrested and booked, the driver's blood alcohol content was determined to be .12 percent, according to police.
She was issued a summons and scheduled to appear in court on August 8. She was released on personal recognizance.
