Scarsdale Police Log: Garden Capers, Vandals And Lost Jewelry

Car Vandals On Putnam Road

A Putnam Road couple discovered their home, car and lawn had been vandalized on June 21. The wife came outside in the morning and discovered "feces had been smeared all over one of the vehicles," according to the report. The resident also noticed "some of the outdoor lights were removed from the ground and thrown across the lawn. Also, their gardening bags were taken from the property and tossed across the street," the report stated. Decorative turtles were also missing from the walkway.

Damages At Greenacres School

The custodian of the Greenacres School reported to SPD that a small fence on the property was damaged and a plant taken out of the ground and tossed into the trash, according to the police report. He also discovered red dixie cups, a bag with beer cans and what he believed was human feces near the entrance, according to the report. A dumpster was also pushed up against a basement door, the report stated.

A Tory Lane resident reported to SPD on June 22 that she lost several items of jewelry. According to the police report, the resident lost diamond earrings, a diamond pendant and a gold pin with a sapphire and ruby.
