Scarsdale Police Log: NJ Man Arrested For Swiping Credit Card

arrested a New Jersey man after he allegedly swiped a credit card and used it to buy gas, groceries and beer.
According to a SPD report, police arrested Jonathan Faison, 25, of Teaneck, N.J., after he turned himself in on July 10.
Faison, who works at Scarsdale Shell, "observed a credit card on top of one of the gas pumps," according to the report. "Faison admitted to taking the card and charging $30 in gas that he put in his personal vehicle."

He also told police he used the stolen card to buy groceries in Yonkers and beer.
"He then drove to upper Manhattan where he bought numerous cigars at one location and two Metro Cards at another," the report stated.

Police charged Faison with Grand Larceny of Property and Criminal Possession of a Stolen Credit Card, both felonies.
He was arraigned in Scarsdale Village Court on July 11.
