A Scarsdale teenager interrupted a larceny in progress, spotting a thief attempting to steal his bicycle from his garage, according to a report.

The Hazelton Drive 16-year-old caught the alleged thief in action on July 21.

The teen left the "garage door open while he went to his backyard to cut some trees down," the SPD report stated. "Upon his return to the garage he observed a black male walking his bicycle out of the garage in an obvious attempt to steal it."
