Scarsdale School Budget Results Announced
Voters in the Scarsdale school district were asked to OK a spending plan of $177.8 million.
SCARSDALE, NY β Voters in the Scarsdale school district went to the polls Tuesday to decide whether to approve the 2023-24 budget.
The proposed spending plan of $177.8 million was approved 536 to 108, according to unofficial results.
The budget is up 2.59 percent from the current year. Enhancements in this budget include funding to extend social work support to our elementary students, support the second-year rollout of an exemplary math program, engage in a joint schools/Village athletic field study and conduct a comprehensive transportation study.

The tax levy increase is 1.93 percent, which is under the state tax cap.

There were two seats on the Board of Education that are up for election. This year incumbents Amber Yusuf and Robert Klein were running unopposed for three-year terms.
CORRECTION: The unofficial results for the 2023-24 budget vote were incorrectly reported by the Scarsdale school district. It did not impact the outcome of the vote. The correct results are 536 yes and 108 no.
