Scarsdale Schools Budget Sails Through To Approval

Three candidates for the board of education were running unopposed.

SCARSDALE, NY — Voters in the Scarsdale school district went to the polls Tuesday to decide whether to OK a $173.3 million budget for the 2022-23 school year.

The spending package, which is 3.85 percent more than the current year's, was approved 496 to 148, according to unofficial results.

The district estimated a tax levy increase of 3.45 percent.

Three candidates ran for three Board of Education trustee positions. They were incumbent Ronald Schulhof, Colleen Brown and Suzie Hahn Pascutti.
