Scarsdale Temple to Take on Gun Violence

Scarsdale's Westchester Reform Temple to hold special service Friday.

A Scarsdale temple will dedicate prayer to mitigating gun violence this Friday.

Westchester Reform Temple on Mamaroneck Road is slated to hold a Gun Violence Prevention Shabbat March 15, beginning at 7:45 p.m. Senior Rabbi Jonathan E. Blake will deliver the sermon for the evening, said the temple's project coordinator Felicia Block.

"His comments will focus on the shared hopes and dreams of the community for a future that is safer for America's children and for people living in urban areas of poverty who remain acutely susceptible to gun violence," she said.
