Six-Year-Old Girl Revived After Falling Into Pool At Yorktown Home

The child was transported to the Hudson Valley Hospital Center.

A 6-year-old girl is reported to be in stable condition after she was pulled from a pool at a Yorktown home Friday afternoon, said. 

Several kids playing at a residential pool party on Rustic Ridge Court in Yorktown noticed the girl, who police said was visiting from the Bronx, was floating under the water. 

The child's parents pulled her out of the pool and a police officer started performing CPR when he arrived at the home. Two members of the and two Empress Yorktown paramedics arrived at the home and continued to perform advanced life support measures.

The child was transferred to the Hudson Valley Hospital and has since been resuscitated. She is now at the Westchester Medical Center's pediatric intensive care unit due to the seriousness of her condition, officials said. 

"The important thing is [the child] is stable," Yorktown Police Lt. Kevin Soravilla told Patch.

The incident occurred at about 12:40 p.m. Responding Yorktown police officers were Larry Eidelman and Matthew Iacona. Responding paramedics were Rich Ulrich and Marcello Cutonili. 

Editor's Note: The police reported the girl is 6-year-old, but paramedics reported the girl was 4 or 5 years old.
