Thief Uses Scarsdale Man's Credit Card for $3K Shopping Spree, Cops Say
Three iPads bought under local man's name.

An identity thief swiped a Scarsdale man's credit card info and went on a shopping spree at a Best Buy on Long Island, cops said.
A 60-year-old Walworth Avenue resident told police on Saturday that he received a Best Buy bill in February totaling $2,841.62—for products he never purchased.
The man told police be had opened up a Best Buy credit card in the past, when buying a television, but never used it.

After contacting Best Buy, the man learned his name and credit had been used to buy three iPads and related tech support help, police said.
Police are treating the case as identify theft, a class D felony, but no arrests have been made.
