Tractor Trailer Hits Overpass On Hutch Parkway In Scarsdale
Traffic was snarled for much of the day as a result of the incident.

SCARSDALE, NY — A truck that was on the southbound Hutchinson River Parkway hit an overpass in Scarsdale and snarled traffic for much of the day Wednesday.
The truck was illegally on the parkway, according to police, when it hit the overpass around 7 a.m., News 12 reported.
Boxes of frozen potatoes and French fries appeared to have been what the truck was carrying when it had its top sheared off.

The state Department of Transportation said there was also a fuel spill, as well as debris, on the roadway.
Both lanes were initially closed, with one lane reopening around 1 p.m. It wasn't until after 3 p.m. that all lanes were reopened, 511ny.org said.
