Detectives Investigating Thefts In Mastic Beach: Police

They took place at around 5:30 a.m. on Tuedsday, Suffolk police say.

MASTIC BEACH, NY — Investigators are asking that residents living in the area of Juniper Road in Mastic Beach review their security footage from early Tuesday when vehicles were broken into, Suffolk police said.

It took place at around 5:30 a.m., according to police.

In a post on social media, Det. William Pizer told residents that vehicles were broken into and items were stolen from "neighbors."

"Please review any surveillance cameras that you may have had on that time," he said. "If your cameras pick up any people walking in the area or any suspicious vehicles, please take the time to forward these videos/photos."

The 7th Squad is investigating, police said.
