  • The treasure hunt our library is throwing this weekend.

Here are the top four stories today in Shirley-Mastic:

  1. The General Election Day is scheduled for Nov. 8. Registered voters can go to various locations in Nassau and Suffolk County to vote early.   2. The MMS Community Library is hosting a treasure hunt this weekend! The event is off site at the Terrell River County Nature Preserve on Montauk Hwy, in Center Moriches, on Saturday, Sept 24 at 10:30 a.m. Participants will use the geocaching app to track their hunt!   3. Save the date for the Biker Brunch Fundraiser hosted by the Iron Medics EMS on Oct. 2 at the Wings Café in Shirley. The event aims to bring awareness and suicide prevention among first responders. All are welcome to join from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tickets are $20 per person. (Facebook Events)
  4. Terry Street will be extra colorful on Sunday, Sept. 24! The Arts on Terry will go on from 1 to 2 p.m., displaying the work of over 300 Long Island artists. Other attractions included live painting, music, performances and individual artist booths. (Patchogue M.O.C.A)
