  1. Greater Long Island checks out the new Indian Princess sculpture at Lake Ronkonkoma. Based on the legend, the carved Native American woman overlooks the lake at 279 Lake Shore Road. (Greater Long Island)
  2. News 12 Long Island reports that a Central Islip teenager is facing charges after a handgun and ammunition was found in his car. Police pulled over a Toyota on Hempstead Turnpike with no headlights and found a knife in the cup holder, a handgun and 30 rounds of ammunition. Adams Banton, 19, is charged with criminal possession.   3. An explosion heard off the South Shore of Long Island on Sunday confused many. Police investigated Fox Island in the Great South Bay following reports of a loud noise at around 11 a.m. where a plume of smoke was seen. (News 12)
