Man Shoots, Injures Shirley Teen During Sale Of Sneakers: Police
The teen was attempting to sell a pair of Air Jordans when the man shot him, police said.

SHIRLEY, NY — A man who shot a teenager in Shirley earlier this year is currently sought after by Suffolk County police.
On Jan. 29 at about 3 p.m., a teen attempting to sell a pair of Air Jordan Black Cat sneakers via Snapchat met a man outside his Shirley home. The teen left the shoes in the house when he came outside to meet the man.
The man then displayed a handgun and demanded the teen bring the shoes outside, police said.

The teen ran into his house and closed the door. The man then fired a shot through the door, striking the teen in his thigh, police said.
The man fled in a silver SUV.

The teen was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of non-life-
threatening injuries, police said.
