Man Shot On Long Island Drives Himself To Hospital: Police

He was treated at Stony Brook University Hospital for a non-life-threatening injury, Suffolk police said.

MASTIC BEACH, NY — Detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding a man who was shot in Mastic Beach and then drove himself to Stony Brook University Hospital on Thursday afternoon, Suffolk police said.

The shooting, which took place at around 4:35 p.m., did not seriously hurt the man, according to police.

Further details, including the location of the shooting, were not released.
