  1. Former Mastic Beach resident Ed Jodry had his Florida mobile home destroyed by Hurricane Ian. That's not the first time that Jodry faced natural disasters. His old home in Mastic Beach was also hit by Superstorm Sandy back in October 2012. (Patch)
  2. Town of Brookhaven is hosting a Bicycle Rodeo Saturday to teach kids how to ride their bikes safely. Encourage the little ones to bring their bikes and helmets to be inspected at the View Facility Safety Town at 249 Buckley Road in Holtsville.   • Long Island officer injured by a drunk driver will lead the Shirley Christmas Parade. Officer Timothy Thrane nearly died during the accident in November 2021. The parade is hosted by the Shirley/Mastic Chamber of Commerce and is one of the largest ones on Long Island, starting at the South Port Shopping Center and marching down to Mastic Road.
