It appears that the Loughlin Drive home's garage caught fire, Suffolk police say.

SHIRLEY, NY — Residents escaped to safety after a fire broke out at their home in Shirley on Wednesday afternoon, Suffolk police said.

A police spokesman told Patch that it appears that the Loughlin Drive home's garage was fire.

It was not immediately clear if anyone was hurt.
