- Suffolk Police Officer Timothy Thrane is leading the Shirley-Mastic Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade 2022. Thrane was seriously injured by a drunk driver in November 2021 while on duty . (Shirley-Mastic Patch)
- MMS Community Library is hosting an off-site event called "October Big Day" at the Wertheim National Wildlife Refuge. Ms. Hillary will wait for all to come out and celebrate the birds of our community on Saturday, Oct. 9, from 11 a.m. to noon. (MMSCL)
- Brookhaven Town officials appointed Mitchell Pally to Development Industrial Agency and the Local Development Corp. on Monday. Mitchell had been part of the leadership of the Long Island Builders since 2010. (Patch)
