  1. Suffolk Police continuously searched for two individuals who invaded a home and raped a resident in Mastic Beach. Commissioner Rodney Harrison said the department devotes lots of resources to the investigation. The pair also stole cash and other properties from the house. After the attack, a neighbor helped the victim, who was bleeding in the chest and head, and she was transported to a local hospital. (Patch)
  2. MMS Community Library invites the youth in the community to learn how to work with a 3D Print on Monday, April 25 at 5:30 p.m. in the teen area. It's a drop-in program. Registration is required. (MMSCL)
  3. Veteran Edward L. Chan was honored for his World War II Service. The Long Island retired teacher joined the U.S. Army when he was 18 years old. "I considered Hitler a threat to democracy, and the most important priority was to defeat him," Chan told Patch. (Patch)
