Drivers of Bus, SUV Receive Minor Injuries in St. James Crash
Two vehicles collide on Alexander Avenue.
A Suffolk County Transit bus and an SUV collided in St. James early Monday afternoon, sending both drivers to nearby hospitals with minor injuries.
According to police, at approximately 12:30 p.m. the bus and a 2006 gray Dodge Durango collided on Alexander Avenue at Route 347, across the street from the Hamlet Estates.
Police said the bus driver was brought to Stony Brook University Medical Center and treated for a knee injury. The SUV driver was brought to St. Catherine of Siena Medical Center and treated for neck and back pain.
