East Alum, Former MLB Player Catalanotto Inducted Into Suffolk County Sports Hall of Fame
The former Major League Baseball player and East alum was one of three Smithtown athletes and coaches to be inducted into the Suffolk County Sports Hall of Fame Tuesday night.
Smithtown native and former Major League Baseball player Frank Catalanotto was inducted into the 2011 Suffolk County Sports Hall of Fame at the induction ceremony Tuesday at Patchogue’s West Lake Inn.
A current Saint James native and 1992 East graduate, Catalanotto was drafted by the Detroit Tigers and in his career has played for the Texas Rangers, Toronto Blue Jays, Milwaukee Brewers and New York Mets.
Other Smithtown inductees include Former Major League pitcher Jim Mecir and former Smithtown coach Cathy Gallagher.
