LI Home Destroyed By Flooding: 'Please Keep Him In Your Prayers'

SMITHTOWN, NY β A man "lost everything" in the rainstorm late Sunday into early Monday, according to a GoFundMe page set up by his siblings.
Bryan Quintana's vehicles, apartment and all of his belongings were destroyed when five feet of water flooded his residence.
"I am grateful [Bryan] was not physically harmedβ¦.but the emotional toll is a very heavy burden for him," his sibling, Jay Quintana, wrote on the fundraiser. "Grasping the fact that all your possessions are gone is extremely difficult. We are hoping to raise money to cover his basic needs right now while we see if/what insurance will cover. Please keep him in your prayersβ¦anything you are able to donate would be greatly appreciated."

People can donate to the fundraiser here if they would like. Around $8,300 has been raised as of Friday morning.
Sunday night's torrential rain led to a long string of stranded motorists and emergency water rescues, as well as flooded basements, closed roads and even a small landslide reported across Long Island, according to the National Weather Service.
