Motorcycle, SUV Collide at Nesconset Gas Station

An accident involving a motorcycle and an SUV took place Thursday night at a gas station on Southern Boulevard and Route 347.

According to police, the accident occurred at roughly 8:50 p.m. at the exit ramp of Gulf, at the corner of Southern Boulevard and Route 347, between a Kawasaki motorcycle and a Mercury Mountaineer. 

The motorcyclist, whose name has not been released, was taken to Stony Brook Medical Center to be treated for abdominal injuries.
