For Red Ribbon Week, students adorned scarecrows with a message to stay drug-free.
Students at St. James Elementary combined the spirit of Halloween and the promise to live drug-free by creating scarecrows for Red Ribbon Week.
According to imdrugfree.com, Red Ribbon Week, this year falling on Oct. 22-30, is a week dedicated to keep the hopes and dreams of kids alive by providing drug prevention education and asking students to make a committment to stay drug free. The ultimate goal of the week is to form a drug-free America.
The scarecrows were designed with personal hand-written pledges from the students promising to stay drug-free and make the correct choices in life.
